Description

Recently fed koi at the Dallas Arboretum. Colour select version with the colour portion over saturated.

Wished and Fished

I threw a penny in a pond
Imbued it with my deepest wish
It glinted and glowed
As it tumbled down
Catching the attention of a fish
That fish could not resist
That fish it ate my wish
The fish became king of the pond
and ruled with a might fin
The other fish brought him tribute
All the pennies that fell from above
All the wishes were now his
Each wish he ate would weigh him further down
Until one day all the wishes immobilized him
He was no longer able to swim and play
So he coughed up all the pennies
He set all the wishes free
He shared his good fortune with the others
Again he was able to move
He was able to feel his own dreams
And be who he was meant to be.
